Overview

Everest Three Pass is located in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. It is one of the less crowded/ offbeat trails because of challenging topography. Since Mt. Everest is the highest peak on earth, three pass trek provides you a chance to test your strength & endurance at high altitude. It’s a treasure for those who love mountains, high passes, glacier walk, icy lakes & wants to explore Sherpa culture, food, lifestyle etc 

The trek starts & ends at Lukla. Along the way you'll see many monastaries & stupas which carries a religious significant & reflection on their life style. Alhough the Nepal is a small country there are hundreds of peaks still undiscovered, unexplored. Khumbu is the glory of the multiple peaks, glaciers, passes, lakes & big mountains including Mt. Everest. The most unique" Yaks" in the Everest base camp trail lures you, make you stand & grab a photographs/videos presenting snow- capped mountains on background. You'll observe the panaromic view of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Barun Tse, Mt. Pumori, Mt Cho yo, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Everest & hundreds of peaks

  • Sherpa Culture & Hospitality   - Sherpa is the combination of two words Sher Pa where Sher means east & Pa means people so it has a meaning of people living in the east Nepal in the northeast mountain range. Sherpa people are recognizing for their spectacular hospitality & mountaineering instincts. They live in high altitudes for long, far from cities & crowd, influenced by tibtean culture & Buddhism.
  • Sagarmatha National Park - It was eatablished in 1976 AD & covers a area of 1148 square kilometers. Sagarmatha national park is enlist in UNESCO world heritage site located in Solukhumbu district. The park includes several tall mountains including Mt. Everest.It is also rich in biodiversity, rare wildlife like snow leopard, red panda, Himalayan Thar, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Yak & so on.
  • Charming Villages - Villages like Khumjung,Syangboche (old & small airport) , Namche,Dingboche,Pangboche are the fantastic places to breathe & experiment breathtaking views of colourful roofs around the mountains.

Arrival

There will be private cab / jeep to pick up you from Airport & transfer to the hotel. It takes 30-40 minutes to reach the hotel.

We wake up early in the morning eat breakfast & fly to Lukla (2840m).

It takes 25-30 minutes to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla depend on weather/traffic. We continue trek toward Phakding (2610m) passing the beautiful villages like Chheplung & Thadokoshi Gaun . Its approx. 8 Km (5miles) & carry 4-5 hours depending upon walk. It’s a first day so we walk slow & steady as the trail is descent & easy.

The distance between Phakding & Namche Bazaar (3440m) is approx. 10-11 Km (6-7 Miles) & carry 6-7 Hours including rests & lunch.

In this day we steep ascent about 830m after lunch. We enter the Sagarmatha national park at Monjo (permit check point) & cross the famous Hillary suspension bridge after beautiful Jorsalle village. Although the day becomes little harder, the overwhelming settlement of Namche Bazaar fades your sweat & blooms you further.

As we reach the altitude like 3480m our body needs to be acclimatized.

As we have various destinations/ spots to observe around we choose to hike Everest View Hotel /Khumjung via Syangboche (oldest airport). We will have a great opportunity to see the beautiful mountains like Mt Amadablam, Mt Thamsherku, Mt. Lhotsse & Mt. Everest from the Everest view hotel view point. The Hillary school in Khumjung & the monastery (has a Yeti Scalp) is the icon of the Khumbu valley.

Trek to Thame (3800m)

The distance between Namche to Thame (3800m) is approx. 10-11 Km (6-7 Miles) & carry 5-6 hours including rests & lunch. The trail is easy to moderate as it crosses the pine forests & follows Bhotekoshi river a major trade route to Tibet. Thame is a beautiful village which is also a birthplace of legendery mountaineer Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Lumde (4380m)

The distance between Namche to Lumde is approx. 8 Km & It will carry around 5 hours to reach Lumde crossing gradual uphills, not that difficult. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Gokyo (4790m) via Renjo La Pass (5360m)

The distance between Lumde to Gokyo through Renjo La pass is approx. 12 Km & It will carry around 8 hours to reach Gokyo crossing Renjo La & it's going to be a long day. The day starts with gradual ascent until we get final ascent to Renjo La pass, its steep ascent,steep descent after descending pass,rocky, icy & challenging. However, it's our first pass & little bit difficult we would definitely feel joy as we experiment Mt.Everest, Mt.Lhotse, Mt.Cho Oyo, Mt. Amadablam etc from the top of Renjo La.Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Thangnak (4700m)

The distance between Gokyo to Thangnak is approx 5.5 Km & It will take around 4 hours to arrive Thangnak. The trail is rocky & full of glaciers, as the trail is not that challenging but sometimes it can be tricky because of terrain. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Dzongla (4830m) via Chola pass (5420m)

The distance between Thangnak to Dzongla through Chola pass is approx. 11 Km & It will carry around 8 hours to reach Dzongla crossing Chola & that's going to be a long day. The day is full of excitement as it starts with gradual ascent until we get final ascent to Chola La pass, its steep ascent to the top. We'll witness technical mountains like Cholatse, Taboche, Lobuche from back etc We steep descent on descending pass crossing some rocky, icy & technical sections. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Lobuche (4910m)

The distance between Dzongla to Lobuche is approx 7 Km & It will take around 4 hours to arrive Lobuche. The trail is easy to moderate, We experimrnt stunning glacier lake, mountains like Amadablam, Cholatse, Tabuche etc, Thukla moraine, beautiful Pheriche valley beneath the surface. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to EBC (5364m) & back to Gorekshep (5164m)

The day is full of excitement & a dream place for every human once in al life. Yes, I'm talking about Everest Base Camp (5364m) which is around 12 Km from Lokbuche to Gorakshep(5164m) Via EBC. The trail is rocky & icy glacier till EBC. Although the trail is not so steep it makes you feeling exhausted because of high altitude.We sleep at Ghorakshep after we enjoy success on EBC. Sleep overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Kalapathar (5545m) & back to Lobuche (4910m)

Walk up early in the morning like 3;00 AM have some quick breakfast we continue our hike toward kalapathar (5545m) carrying small backpack with bottle of water, camera, chocolates etc. Remember the head lamp is the most with the full battery on it. As the trail is steep from the begning the elevation gain will be 380m until top. The majestic view of the mountain Pumori just in your front will make you happy cry. As soon you reach on the top of Kalapathar you'll have a opportunity to experiment Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt Pumori, Mt. Lingdren, Mt.Amadablam, Khumbu glacier, Everest Base Camp,Everest Camp 1 etc from closer. We sleep at Lobuche after having lunch on Gorakshep. Sleep overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Chhukung (4730m) via Kongma La Pass (5535m)

The distance between Lobuche to Chhukung is approx.5.5 Km & it will carry around 7-8 hours to reach Chhukung from Lobuche crossing Kongma La Pass. The trail is challenging however, we would feel little less after we come up doing EBC & Kalapathar.As the amazing view of mountains like Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Amadablam & Island Peak makes you forget all tiredness. Sleep overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Deboche (3820m)

Heading to Deboche from Chhukung is a easy day. We descent all the way to the Sommare & Pangboche crossing a big plain land between Sommare & Pangboche like airport). The distance between Chhukung to Deboche is 14-15 Km & the walk hour is 6-7 hours including rests & lunch. Sleep overnight at Lodge/Guesthouse.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

The distance between Deboche to Namche is about 12 Km with walking hours of 5-6. In this day we ascent, descent & walk plain trail crossing some pine & rhododendron forest. As we reach Namche bazaar we can celebrate our success going to the music bar, pubs etc & relax some time joyfully. Sleep overnight at Lodge/Guesthouse.

Trek to Lukla

Namche to Lukla is our final day trek & is all the way descent till Jhorsalle apart the trek goes gradual ups & downs. It takes about 6-7 hours to arrive Lukla with the easy walk. Sleep overnight at Lodge/Guesthouse.

Fly to Kathmandu

We fly toward Kathmandu early morning after breakfast. We celebrate dinner meal as a farewell program & discuss about the trek & further trips/ projects. Sleep overnight at hotel.

Departure

Ready for the departure, private cab/jeep will drop you Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA)
